My mission

I aim to support my clients with kind curiosity and gentle persistence to liberate themselves from limiting patterns.

I believe that each loosening of restrictive, unhealthy patterns in us individually is a step towards greater health and balance in us collectively.

So it is a significant step to find a therapist who fits you.

The helpfulness of therapy work is deeply dependent on the client’s connection with their therapist.

A client needs to feel understood, respected, safe and also challenged by their companion in self-discovery.

This is why I invite you to get a feel for who I am by reading about me and getting to know my interests and style through my articles and the testimonials from former clients.

If you feel I might be a good fit for you, I’d love to hear from you.

I aim to support you to uncover some of the mysteries of your inner life and find more peace with your authentic self.

My personal background

During my childhood in a small town on the east coast of Scotland, I developed a vibrant passion for foreign languages and dreamt of spending my life immersed in a language that wasn’t my native tongue.

At the age of 23, at the end of the last century, I moved to Munich and started a life here that fulfilled my dream to settle in a foreign place and immerse myself in a foreign culture.

Now (2025) in my 50th year I have spent over half my life in Munich, Germany and live and work in both English and German.

It was during my mid-twenties that I discovered my second passion, psychology, and set about studying and training to support people with life’s challenges as a psychotherapist.

Looking back, I see a number of themes that unite my early interest in foreign languages with my daily work as a psychotherapist:

  • being open-minded, curious and diplomatic about things that seem strange
  • optimistically and patiently decoding mysteries and
  • bridging gaps in understanding

Beyond my working life

My close connections to chosen family are absolutely central to my life.

I take my self-care and life-work balance seriously and lightly at the same time.

I do qi gong daily, meditate and enjoy exercising, cooking and eating for health and pleasure.

I am passionate about books, nature and art in various forms.
