Methods

My understanding of the human psyche is heavily informed by the Internal Family Systems model which encourages us to relate internally to our different parts.

My tool box also includes elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR and, when appropriate, hypnotherapy.

My repertoire is continually expanding as I do trainings, read widely and connect with my supportive networks of colleagues in Europe and beyond.

You and not the methods are at the centre of the therapy. I am happy to use a variety of methodologies that are likely to support you to achieve more internal freedom and peace.

The best way to get to know me and my way of thinking is through learning about mereading my articles and getting a feel for my areas of interest and inspiration.

A brief professional history

In 2002 I began my studies in psychology in Munich, Germany and became “Diplom-Psychologe” in spring 2008.

Immediately after this, I began training to become a State-Approved Psychological Psychotherapist, fully qualifying in autumn 2012.

This trained me thoroughly in a wide-range of clinical diagnoses in psychiatric and psychosomatic clinics as well as out-patient therapy and allowed me to have an entry in the medical register (Arztregistereintrag).

This qualifies me to offer psychotherapy funded by all private health insurance companies in Germany as well as some international health insurance companies.

I set up my own independent practice in the centre of Munich in 2012. See below for more details from my professional biography.

Location and fees

I am available for live sessions in my practice in Sonnenstraße 16, Munich several days a week as well as remotely via zoom.

I prefer to offer sessions of 75 minutes in length to allow enough space for deeper work.

The standard costs for this in 2025 is €234,61.

My support can be funded through German and international private health insurance companies or be self-funded.

Unfortunately I am unable to take public health insurance so if you require funding through a public health insurance company such as AOK or TK, click here for some tips.
